Due to the strong winds, train operations on the 2.2 km long Pamban Bridge connecting Rameshwaram Island and the mainland have been affected, where the wind speed has reached 58 km per hour. In view of safe operations, Railways has completely canceled some trains, while it has been decided to terminate some services midway or leave from alternative stations. Southern Railway has appealed to the passengers to check the latest updates before their journey.
