DPR almost ready, construction will speed up from March

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has almost prepared the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of this project. Soon it will be shared with top officials of the UP government. According to officials, the work will be allotted by March 2025, after which the construction work will start at a fast pace. This project can prove to be a game changer for the development of North India.

Luck will change in 22 districts

This high speed corridor will pass through 22 major districts of UP, including big districts like Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Meerut, Amroha, Bareilly, Rampur, Hardoi, Lucknow, Bahraich, Sant Kabirnagar and Gorakhpur and many other areas will also get direct benefit from it. With the construction of such a large network, there will be a huge increase in industrial, logistics and business activities from Western UP to Eastern UP. This will create new businesses, industries, warehousing centers and thousands of employment opportunities.

New highway will also be connected to major expressways of the country

Plans have also been made to connect this highway to many major national expressways like Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway and Delhi-Meerut Expressway. After connecting with them, travel and freight transportation between Haryana, UP, Bihar and West Bengal will become very easy and fast. Logistics costs will reduce and trade between states will get new energy.

Cost of Rs 1500 crore, journey will be half

After the construction of this huge highway with an estimated cost of Rs 1500 crore, the time taken to cover the distance from Gorakhpur to Panipat will reduce significantly.
