
There is great news for the railway passengers of Uttar Pradesh. Indian Railways has taken a big step towards making long distance travel easy, cheap and convenient. The Railway Ministry is soon going to launch 9 new Amrit Bharat Express trains across the country, out of which 5 trains will pass through major cities of Uttar Pradesh. This will not only strengthen the connectivity of the state, but will also directly benefit lakhs of migrant passengers.
Amrit Bharat Express trains are being operated on such routes where the number of passengers traveling long distances is high. These trains will be no less than a boon for people going to other parts of the country for employment from states like Bihar, Assam, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. These trains will be non-AC, but will run with modern facilities and better coach design, which will make comfortable travel possible at low fares.
Through which cities of UP will 5 Amrit Bharat trains pass?
According to the announcement of Railways, out of the 9 Amrit Bharat trains which are being started, 5 trains will stop at many important stations of Uttar Pradesh. These include cities like Lucknow, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Basti, Sultanpur, Barabanki, Ballia and Ghaziabad.
1. Dibrugarh-Gomti Nagar Amrit Bharat Express
This train will run from Dibrugarh in Assam to Gomti Nagar (Lucknow). This is considered to be the most important route for UP. The train will stop at stations like Gorakhpur, Basti, Ayodhya, Ayodhya Cantt and Barabanki. This will be a weekly service and will directly connect North-East India with the Awadh region. This will provide great relief to the migrant workers of UP working in Assam and surrounding states.
2. Howrah-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express
This train, running from Howrah in West Bengal to Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi, will pass through major cities of UP like Lucknow, Sultanpur and Varanasi. This train is considered very important for UP in terms of education, business and employment. The train will have a total of 20 coaches and it will also be a weekly service.
3. Sealdah-Banaras Amrit Bharat Express
This train, which starts from Sealdah in Kolkata and reaches Banaras (Varanasi), will run three days a week. It will directly connect Varanasi, the religious and cultural center of UP, with West Bengal. This train will prove to be a great option for religious travelers and students.
4. Kamakhya-Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express
This train will go from Kamakhya in Assam to Rohtak in Haryana and will stop at major stations of UP like Varanasi, Prayagraj, Ballia and Ghaziabad on the way. Through this, direct connectivity from North-East India to North India will be strengthened.
5. Alipurduar-Panvel Amrit Bharat Express
Although this train goes to Maharashtra, its route passes through important stations of UP like Prayagraj, Chheoki and Mirzapur. With this, UP will get better rail connectivity with Central and Western India.

The Railway Ministry believes that trains like Amrit Bharat Express will prove to be a game changer for the common passengers, who are considered the backbone of the country.
