FD account can be opened in Bank of India for a minimum period of 7 days and maximum for 10 years. This government bank is offering interest ranging from 3.00 percent to 7.35 percent on FD accounts. Bank of India is offering the highest interest on Star Swarnim Special FD Scheme of 450 days. On this scheme, the bank is offering 6.70 percent interest to general citizens, 7.20 percent to senior citizens and 7.35 percent to very senior citizens. This public sector bank is offering 6.25 percent interest to general citizens and 6.75 percent interest to senior citizens on FD schemes with a tenure of more than 3 years and less than 5 years.
On depositing Rs 2 lakh, you will get interest up to Rs 77,945.
If you are an ordinary citizen and make an FD of Rs 2 lakh in Bank of India for a tenure of 59 months (less than 5 years), then at an interest rate of 6.25%, you will get a total of Rs 2,71,302 on maturity, which includes fixed interest of Rs 71,302. Similarly, if you are a senior citizen and make an FD of Rs 2 lakh in Bank of India for a tenure of 59 months, you will get a total of Rs 2,77,945 on maturity at an interest rate of 6.75 percent, which includes fixed interest of Rs 77,945.
