
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation i.e. DMRC has started the tender process for the construction of four underground metro stations between Indralok to Indraprastha metro line under Phase 4. According to the news of LiveHindustan, after the completion of the tender allotment process, the construction work will be started by the middle of the year 2026. Let us tell you, a total of 10 metro stations are to be constructed on this line. The total length of this line will be 12.377 kilometers.
9 stations will be built underground
According to the news, this metro line is an extended project of the existing Green Line. Green Line means Bahadurgarh-Indralok-Kirtinagar. Except Indralok metro station, the remaining 9 stations on this line will be built underground. In this sequence, DMRC has now started the tender process for New Delhi, Delhi Gate, Delhi Secretariat-IG Stadium and Indraprastha underground stations.
There will also be three interchange stations
It has been said in the news that the tender process was started in May 2025 to build Indralok metro station and five underground metro stations. The stations to be constructed include Dayabasti, Sarai Rohila, Ajmal Khan Park, Jhandewalan Mandir and Nabi Karim station. There will also be three interchange stations between New Delhi and Indraprastha on this corridor. These stations are-New Delhi. Delhi Gate and Indraprastha.
There will be interchange stations at Delhi Gate with the Violet Line, Indraprastha with the Blue Line and New Delhi with the Yellow Line, Airport Express Line and Green Line. If this happens, New Delhi Metro station will be called an interchange station with three metro lines on the lines of Kashmere Gate. At present the total length of Delhi Metro network is 394 kilometers. There are a total of 12 lines and 289 metro stations.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has achieved a major achievement this year by successfully constructing a tunnel at Tughlakabad Railway Colony station on the upcoming Golden Line under the fourth phase of metro expansion. It is part of the fourth phase of metro expansion. This tunnel connects Maa Anandamayi Marg to Tughlakabad Railway Colony on the Tughlakabad-Aerocity corridor.
