The prices of electric scooters are going to increase from January 1, 2026 and you will have to spend more money for it. Electric scooter manufacturing company Ather Energy on Monday announced increase in the prices of its scooters. Ather Energy said that it is going to increase the prices of all its categories of scooters by up to Rs 3000 from January 1. The company has also given the reason for increasing the price of its scooters.

Under the December offer, Ather scooters are getting benefits up to Rs 20,000.

Ather Energy said that this increase in the prices of scooters is being done due to the increase in the prices of raw materials, foreign exchange and major electronic parts globally. Let us tell you that the current product segment of Ather Energy includes 450 series scooters and Ritza. Its starting prices range between Rs 1,14,546 to Rs 1,82,946. The company said that under its ‘Electric December’ offer, it is currently offering benefits of up to Rs 20,000 on the purchase of Ather electric scooters in select cities of the country.

Planning to give subsidy of up to Rs 40,000 to those switching to electric two-wheeler

Meanwhile, a big update has also come on Monday regarding Delhi’s new EV policy. According to sources, Delhi government may come out with a draft of the new EV policy by the first week of January. Preparations are being made to provide big relief to the middle class in Delhi’s new EV policy. Delhi government is planning to give huge subsidy on the purchase of electric two-wheelers (scooters and bikes) in the draft EV policy. Sources said that under the new EV policy of Delhi, a subsidy of Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000 can be given on shifting from petrol two-wheeler to electric two-wheeler.
