When life suddenly takes away everything and the path ahead starts appearing blurry, not every person breaks down. Some people create their new light from the same darkness. The story of a young delivery boy from China is also similar, who left behind loans, failure and fatigue and set such an example of hard work that the whole world was astonished.

According to a news from South China Morning Post, the life of 25-year-old Zhang Shueqiang, hailing from Zhangzhou city of Fujian province of China, changed in the year 2020 when his small breakfast business was closed. This failure drowned him in debt of about 50,000 yuan (about six and a quarter lakhs). Looking for a new start, Zhang arrived in Shanghai and started working as a delivery rider on a food delivery platform.

13 hours of hard work

Zhang made hard work his weapon. He worked almost 13 hours a day, seven days a week. His working day started around 10:40 in the morning and sometimes continued till 1 in the night. He took leave only a few days in a year. Despite such long shifts, Zhang did not compromise on his health and made sure to get about eight and a half hours of sleep every day.

Simple living, big savings

His view on money was very simple. Zhang adopted a minimalist lifestyle and limited his expenses to only the essentials. Even after paying off loans and meeting daily expenses, he managed to save a large part of his earnings. During the five years he completed an average of more than 300 deliveries every month. A delivery took about 25 minutes and in total they covered about 3.24 lakh kilometres.

identity of order king

His hard work and speed made him special among his peers. Colleagues nicknamed him “Order King” and “Great God.” On the basis of this hard work of five years, Zhang earned about 14 lakh yuan, i.e. about Rs 1.42 crore and was successful in saving a large part of it.

return of dreams

Now Zhang is preparing to return to entrepreneurship once again. He is planning to invest about 8 lakh yuan and open two breakfast shops in Shanghai. His story is not just an example of earning, but also of courage, discipline and keeping dreams alive.
