Many hotels and restaurants may be closed in Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru from Tuesday. Bangalore Hotels Association has given this information. Bangalore Hotels Association said that due to commercial gas supply crisis in the city, hotels and restaurants may be closed from tomorrow. The Hotel Association has issued a press release after the supply of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder suddenly stopped. The association said in the press release that if commercial LPG supply is not received tomorrow morning, all the hotels will be closed. If this happens then the problems of people commuting to the city daily may increase.
Hotel Association made this big allegation against oil companies
President of Bangalore Hotels Association said in a phone conversation that today many restaurants did not get supply of commercial LPG. He said that if gas supply is not received even tomorrow, then all the hotels and restaurants will start closing one by one. According to a press release issued by the Hotels Association on Monday, this sudden interruption in the supply of commercial LPG cylinders is in complete contrast to the previous promises of the oil companies, which had reportedly guaranteed continuous supply for at least 70 days. Due to this interruption in the supply of LPG cylinders, hotel operators now have no other option but to close their business.

Government’s big step to stop hoarding of LPG cylinders
On the other hand, the government has increased the booking period from 21 days to 25 days to prevent hoarding and black marketing of LPG cylinders. Government sources have given this information. Sources said that amid the ongoing tension in the Gulf countries, information about hoarding of LPG cylinders is being received due to various rumours. Some such cases have come to light, where people who earlier used to book LPG cylinders in 55 days, have started booking LPG cylinders in 15 days.
Refineries ordered to increase production of LPG
Sources said that the government has ordered refineries to increase the production of LPG. Along with this, the government has ordered companies to give priority to domestic LPG connections instead of commercial LPG connections. Domestic customers will always be priority. Along with this, the government is also busy searching for new partners for LPG. Apart from this, many countries like Algeria, Australia, Canada and Norway have approached India to sell LPG.
