Crores of farmers across the country are once again eagerly waiting for the next installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under this ambitious scheme of the Central Government, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is given every year to eligible farmers. New information has come to light regarding the date of the next installment of Rs 2,000 to be received from the government. It is expected that this amount can be transferred to the farmers’ accounts in February 2026. It is discussed that the next installment may release after 25 February 2026.

When can the 22nd installment be released?

The official date of the 22nd installment has not been announced yet by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. However, it is definitely being discussed that this installment can be released in the last week of February or early March 2026. Let us tell you that earlier the 21st installment was transferred to the accounts of farmers on 19 November 2025. In such a situation, it is being estimated that considering the stipulated interval, the next installment may be released soon. Farmers are advised to check the status of their e-KYC, bank account and Aadhaar linking in advance, so that there is no problem in getting the installment.

Why is e-KYC important for farmers?

The government has made e-KYC mandatory with the aim of ensuring transparency in the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and removing fake beneficiaries. Those farmers whose e-KYC process is not completed, their next installment may be stopped or payment may get stuck. Therefore, it is very important to update KYC on time, so that the installment of Rs 2,000 can reach the account directly without any interruption.

How to complete e-KYC?

The process of e-KYC is extremely easy and can be completed both online and offline:

Online Method:

  • Visit the official website of PM Kisan.
  • Click on ‘e-KYC’ option.
  • Enter your Aadhaar number.
  • Verify by entering the OTP received on the mobile number linked to Aadhaar.

Offline Method:

  • If verification is not possible through OTP, then farmers can complete e-KYC through biometrics by visiting their nearest Common Service Center (CSC).

A total of Rs 6000 is given in three installments

This amount given to the farmers is divided into three equal installments, that is, every four months, Rs 2,000 is transferred directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
